The Elephants return to Abidjan following their victory over Ghana in Bouaké

Hervé Renard and his players will now prepare to face Somalia on matchday 2 of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

The players of the Ivory Coast national team have returned to Abidjan, where they set up camp on 20 September. It was from the Ivorian capital that Franck Kessie and his team-mates travelled to the centre of the country, notably to Bouaké, to host Ghana’s Black Stars on the first matchday of the qualifiers.

But the day after their 2–0 victory at the Stade de la Paix in Bouaké, the Elephants returned to Abidjan. They arrived on the afternoon of Friday 25 September.

Hervé Renard’s side will continue their preparations for the remainder of the international break. Ivory Coast will face Somalia on 29 September as part of the second round of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

This match will be played at the Félix Houphouët Boigny Stadium in Abidjan. Following these two qualifying matches, Ivory Coast will host Cameroon for an international friendly on 3 October at the Alassane Ouattara Stadium in Ebimpé.
