2027 AFCON qualifiers: venue, kick-off time and TV channels for the Somalia v Côte d’Ivoire match

Somalia will face the Elephants this Tuesday, 29 September, on matchday 2 of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

The match will kick off at 7 pm GMT at the Félix Houphouët-Boigny Stadium in Abidjan. The two teams go head-to-head after contrasting starts to the qualifiers.

Côte d’Ivoire made a successful start by beating Ghana 2–0 in Bouaké, whilst Somalia lost to The Gambia in their opening match. Hervé Renard’s side are favourites for this fixture against an opponent unaccustomed to big matches.

Côte d’Ivoire, the 2023 African champions, competed in the FIFA World Cup this summer, held in the United States, Canada and Mexico. Somalia, on the other hand, has never taken part in the Africa Cup of Nations.

The match on 29 September in Abidjan will be broadcast live on La 3 and NCI in Côte d’Ivoire. Fans in Africa and beyond the continent will be able to watch the match on Canal+ Sport, New World TV and beIN Sports.
