2027 AFCON Qualifiers: Ivory Coast’s official line-up against Somalia revealed

The Elephants are set to play their second match in the qualifiers for the next Africa Cup of Nations.

Hervé Renard’s side will face Somalia at 7 pm GMT at the Félix Houphouët Boigny Stadium. Ivory Coast are looking to build on their successful opening match against Ghana on 25 September in Bouaké.

Against their Somali opponents, Ivory Coast are the favourites. The Elephants are no strangers to the international stage, unlike Somalia, who have never taken part in an Africa Cup of Nations.

The Ivorians therefore have what it takes to secure a second victory. For this match, Hervé Renard has retained his faith in Malick Yalcouye, who put in a fine performance against Ghana, scoring on his debut. Players such as Yahia Fofana, captain Franck Kessie, Yan Diomande and Nicolas Pépé are all in the starting line-up.
