Teboho Mokoena says he saw his goal against ASFAR in Morocco in a dream
Teboho Mokoena's stunner against ASFAR in Morocco last night is one he received from the gods.
The Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder scored a scorcher against the Moroccans at a sold out Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium to level matters which saw them clinch the Caf Champions League final.
Mokoena, after the game, said this goal was something he saw in a dream as he equalised following the home side's lead in the first half via penalty.
But it was Mokoena's goal which mattered as it saw Sundowns win their second Caf Champions League trophy in 10 years.
“Today when I was sleeping, I saw myself scoring a goal like that," he said after the game.
I’ve been saying to my family ‘I hope God is on our side tonight’ and he was.
“I’m very grateful, I’m very happy. I know how much it means for everyone back home. The stuff, everyone. Mom Zo in the kitchen, our supporters – a small group, our 57 people home.
“I’m very excited, I don’t know what to say next time we’re gonna wear this jersey, it’s going to have two stars, so I’m very happy.”
