Mazoun Abu Sen, who leads Sudan's committee for finding talented players abroad, said that the Sudan Football Federation wants to find more than 200 Sudanese players in Europe who have two nationalities to make the country's teams better at all ages.
Speaking on the "Kora Al-Mal" program on "Al Sharq with Bloomberg" radio, Abu Sen shared that the senior Sudanese national team, which officially qualified for the Africa Cup of Nations, already features eight players based in Europe, including in the Netherlands, Finland, and the UK. Additionally, seven players from the youth teams are also playing abroad.
Abu Sen clarified that the committee was legally established a year ago to support the national team coaching staff, particularly during the suspension of Sudan's domestic league, and that the idea to scout overseas players began four years ago. Additionally, he pointed out that the committee's operations have not necessitated a large amount of federation cash, with costs such as lodging and flights being paid for when needed.
