Manchester City lead 2-0 at halftime in their clash against Wolverhampton. The first half was defined by Marmoush and Mosquera, with one of their duels sparking major controversy.
First, the Egyptian outmuscled the defender to prod the ball into the net, scoring his first goal in this Premier League campaign. Near the end of the half, Marmoush outplayed Mosquera inside the Wolves' box and fired a shot that rattled the post. In the same sequence, the Wolves defender handled the ball, yet the referee made a contentious call by refusing to award a penalty.
After reviewing the footage, the referee determined that Mosquera's arm was in a natural position and did not call a violation.
