'Should have sought help 10 years ago'. Fury opened up about his mental health problems
Former WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury opens up about his mental health struggles.
Details: In an interview with the Manchester United website, Tyson Fury revealed that he has been battling depression for over 10 years. The boxing legend spoke candidly about his ongoing fight for mental well-being, admitting that his struggle is a daily one.
Quote: "It can break even the strongest people. Look at me, I was the undefeated heavyweight champion of the world, and it brought me to my knees.
It's a constant battle, daily. It never ends. You just have to learn how to manage it a bit better than before.
My biggest mistake was not going to a specialist 10 years ago and not seeking help. I think the most important thing is first to truly acknowledge that you need help," Fury said.
Reminder: The highly anticipated rematch between Oleksandr Usyk and Fury is fast approaching. On December 21, the two will face off in Saudi Arabia for all four heavyweight titles.
Fury, currently preparing for the rematch, has also mentioned that if he wins, he is open to arranging a trilogy bout.
Incidentally, the undercard for the Riyadh fight night has recently been announced.
