Details: According to L'Équipe, Kylian Mbappé was left frustrated by his tactical role during France's 1-0 Nations League victory over Turkiye. The captain was deployed wide on the left under Zinedine Zidane and reportedly grew unhappy with having to operate so close to the touchline.

Zidane opted for a 4-3-3 in his first match in charge of France, with Mbappé starting on the left, Ousmane Dembélé operating centrally and Michael Olise occupying the right flank. It was a noticeable change for the Real Madrid star, who has frequently played through the middle or with greater freedom to move inside.

Despite his frustration, Mbappé still decided the match, scoring the only goal against Turkiye before suffering a knee injury and leaving the pitch shortly afterwards. It is worth noting that the strike was his 67th goal in 107 appearances for France and his 12th international goal of 2026.
