Ronaldo's assist fails to help Al Nassr defeat Al-Hilal

In the 32nd round of the Saudi Professional League, Al Nassr hosted the reigning champions, Al-Hilal, on their home turf.

Right in the opening minute of the match, the hosts seized the lead with a splendid goal. Cristiano Ronaldo orchestrated a sublime assist to Otavio, who elegantly put Al Nassr ahead. Despite Al-Hilal dominating possession, they lacked sharpness in their attacking endeavors.

Following the halftime break, the dynamics of the game remained largely unaltered. The visitors kept the ball and tried to equalise, and they succeeded. The home team's winger Sadio Mané brushed aside the opposition player. After reviewing the VAR, the referee awarded a penalty. Aleksandar Mitrović converted the 11-metre spot-kick in the 90+9th minute to save the tie for Al Hilal.

Al Nassr and Al-Hilal settled for a 1-1 draw. Consequently, the hosts have been unable to defeat Al-Hilal in the championship since 2021.
