Richards Bay assistant coach Papi Zothwane on their PSL clash against Orlando Pirates: We take it one game at a time and we will certainly fight
Papi Zothwane does not want to put press on his Richards Bay FC players by expecting them to win over two Soweto giants in a space of a week.
A week ago today, the Natal Rich Boys defeated Kaizer Chiefs 1-0 in a PSL game and this evening they face Orlando Pirates in a Betway Premiership match.
Zothwane, Richards Bay’s assistant coach sees it as pressure to aim for another Soweto giant scalp.
“I don’t want to put ourselves under pressure,” Zothwane told his club website.
“We will take the games as they come. Every game we play, we play to win, and we will certainly give them a good fight.”
This evening at Orlando Amstel Arena, Richards Bay would face a Pirates side who are hoping for maximum points as they plan catch up with table-toppers Mamelodi Sundowns.
Sundowns are on top of the standings with 27 points with a game more than Pirates. A win for Abdeslam Ouaddou’s side this evening may see them overtake Sundowns as the PSL title race intensifies.
The game starts at 7.30pm.
