Reports on Kaizer Chiefs defender Aiden McCarthy: The player has been handed a two year deal with an option to renew by Chiefs management
Aiden McCarthy is to be a Kaizer Chiefs player for the next two seasons after his current deal was renewed.
His current deal is due to expire in June and Chiefs decided to tie the player down for the next two years.
The young defender has been part of Amakhosi since 2022 when he was promote from the development side.
Since then the left-footed centre back has made a huge claim as one of the club’s dependable defenders especially when Chiefs missed its regulars players this season.
Zitha Kwinika, Inacio Miguel, Given Msimango and Rushwin Dortley have been the club’s preferred defenders when this campaign started but injury hampered those plans.
In came McCarthy who has form a good relationship with his goalkeepers in Brandon Peterson and Bruce Bvuma.
This season McCarthy played 25 games across all competitions and he has two goals to his name.
