Defender Kamogelo Sebelebele equalises for Orlando Pirates against Kaizer Chiefs at a sold out FNB Stadium in a pulsating Betway Premiership match
Kamogelo Sebelebele rescued Orlando Pirates this afternoon when he scored the equalising goal for Orlando Pirates against Kaizer Chiefs.
Sebelebele was a marvel to watch at FNB Stadium today with his darting runs and overlapping moves into the Kaizer Chiefs half.
His goal was in form of a rebound after a Deon Hotto shot was palmed into Sebelebele’s path by Chiefs goalkeeper Brandon Peterson.
Peterson was also in fine form today in this Betway Premiership tie as he made crucial saves for Amakhosi.
In truth, if it was not for the former Bidvest Wits goal-minder, Chiefs would have lost this match by an avalanche of goals.
Yanela Mbuthuma, Sebelebele, Oswin Appollis and Tshepag Moremi had shots at Peterson but could not get the better of the Chiefs number one.
Another impressive player for Chiefs was Wandile Duba who created Pule Mmodi’s goal after a good run down the right flank.
Duba evaded a challenge from Nkosinathi Sibisi and Lebone Seema outrunning them to cross the ball for Mmodi who calmly finished beating Sipho Chaine in the Pirates goals.
The draw still leaves Pirates on top of the standings with 59 points and they will be hoping Mamelodi Sundowns also drop points at Richards Bay this evening.
