PSV announced the buy of an injured Barcelona player. What is the specifics of the deal?

American defender Sergino Dest will continue his career in PSV Eindhoven. About it reports the official website of the club from the Netherlands.

Dest last season played for PSV on loan. And today the Dutch champions announced that bought the contract of the player. The agreement between the player and his new club is for four years.

Dest spent last season for PSV 37 games in all tournaments. However, the American defender missed the last games due to a severe knee injury. PSV have already confirmed that Sergino will return to training in the coming months.

Barcelona have decided to give the footballer away for free. However, the Catalan club will receive a percentage of the future sale of Dest.

"Sergino convinced us so much last season that we decided not to waste the opportunity and bought the player. He has so many qualities. The new situation does not change that," PSV football director Earnest Stewart said.

Sergino Dest is a graduate of another club from the Netherlands - Almere City. In 2012, the player was invited by Ajax, and in 2020 he was bought by Barcelona. In the season 2022/2023 the defender played on loan for AC Milan, after which he returned to the Netherlands.
