Vitinha has etched his name in World Cup history.

Details: According to stats provider Opta, the 26-year-old Portugal defensive midfielder Vitinha set a new all-time World Cup record in the match against DR Congo.

It is reported that against the Congolese side, Vitinha made 128 passes, with 121 of them finding their target. This figure stands as the absolute World Cup record for players who played the full 90 minutes of a match.

Despite Vitinha's efforts, Portugal couldn't overcome DR Congo, with the match ending in a 1-1 draw.

Portugal's next game will be against Uzbekistan on June 23.
