Osimhen and Napoli: there’s still a chance to fix things

Napoli may attempt to mend its relationship with Victor Osimhen after his transfers to Al-Ahli and Chelsea fell through.

This morning, reports emerged that Osimhen was excluded from the club’s season roster and that Romelu Lukaku would take his number 9 shirt. However, despite Osimhen's absence from the list, the Belgian striker received the number 11 jersey, as confirmed by Serie A’s official website.

Sky Sport Italia suggests that Napoli might still try to restore their relationship with Osimhen, which soured following phone disputes on transfer deadline day.

It remains uncertain whether Napoli can repair its relationship with Osimhen, as coach Antonio Conte has barely worked with him throughout the summer, and it was widely expected that the player would leave.
