Orlando Pirates coach Abdeslam Ouaddou gives Nkosikhona Ndaba the blueprint of surviving at the club
Nkosikhona Ndaba is the latest youngster in the Orlando Pirates conveyer belt to the first team.
Pirates has developed a knack of fielding newbies to the first team and as soon as possible those players impress.
Camren Dansin, Masindi Nemtajela, Mbekezeli Mbokazi and now Ndaba are some of the young players Pirates has given an opportunity to lately.
All have not disappointed and Pirates coach Abdeslam Ouaddou has revealed what gospel he preaches to his players.
"I always say to my players, the most important [thing] is the consistency of your performance, that's what brings you to a high level,” said Ouaddou in a recent post-match press conference in Durban.
Ndaba, a left-back, was given a chance two weeks ago when Pirates played and defeated Golden Arrows 3-1 at King Zwelithini Stadium. The 23-year-old Ndaba is seen as a replacement for veteran left back Deon Hotto.
"So he must continue like this, he did a great game against Golden Arrows and against Richards Bay he also did well – he's a young player that we need to trust and give him confidence,” said Ouaddou.
"At the same time, we need to be careful not to burn this young talent, you have to know how to bring them and which momentum you give them in order to create the right environment for them to improve."
