Earlier, we reported that Chelsea was actively working on signing Aston Villa's young talent, Omari Kellyman. Today, it has been confirmed that the London club has reached all agreements with the Lions and the player himself, officially announcing the transfer of the 18-year-old.
According to Fabrizio Romano, this transfer cost Chelsea £19 million, and his contract with the club is for six years with an option to extend for another year.
Kellyman expressed his happiness about joining Chelsea:
"It's fantastic to be here as a Chelsea player. This is a huge club with an amazing history, so it's great to be part of it. It's a dream come true."
Omari Kellyman is a product of Derby County's academy. In 2022, he moved to Aston Villa and played for the first team in the recently concluded season. He has made six appearances for the Lions, three of which were in the Europa Conference League, during which he provided one assist.
Additionally, yesterday, we reported that a Chelsea winger is moving to Galatasaray on a permanent basis.
