Barcelona has received a disciplinary sanction from UEFA following their Champions League match. The Catalan club was fined €30,500 for a regulation breach: sections of Barça fans set off flares in the stands during the clash against Slavia, which constitutes a violation of Article 16(c) of the UEFA Disciplinary Code.
In addition, the club incurred a further €15,000 fine for delaying the team's entrance onto the pitch before kickoff—an infraction under Article 11(h) of the same regulations, related to the late start of the match.
German head coach Hansi Flick has also received an official warning from UEFA due to the team's delayed entry onto the field—this represents the minimum disciplinary sanction available in European competitions. Both the club and coaching staff must now adhere strictly to UEFA's disciplinary regulations for the remainder of the season to avoid more severe penalties in future European fixtures.
