Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick shared long-awaited news about Pedri's condition during the pre-match press conference ahead of La Liga round 25.
Details: The German specialist Hansi Flick confirmed that one of the team's key midfielders has recovered from his injury and is included in the squad for the upcoming game.
Pedri has been absent from Barcelona's lineup for exactly a month. The last time fans saw him on the pitch was back in January, in the Champions League match against Slavia Prague. Since then, the team has had to cope without its main creative force.
“Perhaps Pedri will be able to play a few minutes, but the most positive thing is simply his return. He is very important for us. Thanks to his quality, Pedri is a leader of a different kind—he is unique,” Flick told reporters.
The coach emphasized that he does not intend to rush the midfielder back into the starting eleven, so against Levante, Pedri will most likely come on as a substitute in the second half.
It’s worth noting that the Barcelona vs Levante match is scheduled for tomorrow, February 22, at 16:15 Central European Time.
