Official! Trabzonspor issues statement regarding Mohamed Salah transfer

Trabzonspor has decided to speak in hints—and this one is hard to interpret any other way.

Details: On the club's official X account, a short video featuring the Egyptian pyramids was posted. The publication was accompanied by the phrase Always believing and a crown emoji, making the reference to Mohamed Salah all but obvious.

The post appeared against the backdrop of Turkish media reports that Trabzonspor had agreed a two-year contract with the Egyptian forward. According to preliminary information, the deal includes a salary of €17 million per season, a €5 million bonus, and a share of shirt sales.

However, there has been no official confirmation of the transfer so far. In fact, on August 2, Trabzonspor president Ertuğrul Doğan denied any agreement with Salah. So, for now, the mysterious video should be seen as a very transparent teaser, not a full-fledged announcement.

A couple of minutes later, Trabzonspor's official page announced that negotiations for Salah had begun.

It's worth noting that after leaving Liverpool, 34-year-old Mohamed Salah remains a free agent.
