OFFICIAL. Arsenal has signed Bournemouth goalkeeper
Arsenal has found a replacement for Aaron Ramsdale, who has moved to Southampton. Brazilian goalkeeper Neto has joined the Gunners.
The London club has announced that Neto has arrived on a one-year loan deal. Previously, he played for Bournemouth. Since joining the Cherries in August 2022, the 35-year-old has made 63 appearances for the team and was appointed captain just six months later.
Initially, Arsenal's priority was young Espanyol goalkeeper Joan García. However, the club decided to abandon this transfer due to the high asking price of €30 million from the Spanish club.
Bournemouth is willing to let Neto go as they have already secured the loan of Chelsea's goalkeeper, Kepa Arrizabalaga, earlier this summer.
For reference, before joining Bournemouth, Neto played for Barcelona, Juventus, Fiorentina, and Valencia.
