Southampton introduced Ramsdale as a character from Harry Potter

Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale has officially become a Southampton player. The press service of the Premier League newcomer said that the former England player will join them on a full-time basis, signing a four-year contract with the club.

The introduction of Ramsdale deserves special attention. He appeared in the guise of Hagrid from the famous series of films about Harry Potter.

It was in this guise that he supported Southampton in the Premier League play-off final against Leeds.

It is reported that Arsenal will receive £18 million outright for the 26-year-old goalkeeper, with a further £7 million provided for in bonuses.

The deal is still undergoing Premier League registration, but Southampton are hopeful that Ramsdale will be able to play for the team in Saturday's Premier League game against Brentford.
