Recently, reports have surfaced about English clubs expressing interest in England international striker Ivan Toney. Al-Ahli's sporting director Rui Pedro Braz has addressed rumors about a possible return of the English forward to the Premier League.
Toney is a top-level player, a striker of the highest caliber. The speculation about him leaving the team in January is simply not true. I can say unequivocally: this is false. We are counting on him and have no intention of discussing a possible departure, especially not in November," Braz stated.
Earlier, it was reported that Tottenham might attempt to sign the 29-year-old forward, considering Toney's familiarity with current head coach Thomas Frank, under whom he played at Brentford. It was believed that a move to the Premier League could boost his chances of earning a call-up to England's World Cup squad.
