Tottenham’s stunning goal began with a mistake by Zubimendi in the center of the pitch.
Details: Today, on his social media page X, Arsenal and Spain’s 26-year-old defensive midfielder Martin Zubimendi issued an apology to the Gunners’ supporters for his critical error in yesterday’s match against Tottenham, which led to a conceded goal.
"I’m disappointed in myself for the mistake that cost us a goal. The team deserved better, and so did the fans. I’ll learn from it and come back stronger. Thank you for the support!! we move together." - wrote Martin.
The match itself ended with a commanding 4-1 win for Arsenal, but Zubimendi’s loss of possession in midfield in the 55th minute led to Richarlison scoring a sensational goal from nearly the halfway line, chipping David Raya, who was caught off his line and couldn’t recover in time.
