Morocco Coach Confirms Ismael Saibari Will Miss World Cup Quarterfinal Against France
Morocco have been dealt a major setback ahead of their FIFA World Cup quarterfinal clash with France after head coach Mohamed Ouahbi confirmed that midfielder Ismael Saibari will miss the encounter through injury.
Saibari picked up a hamstring injury during Morocco's 3-0 victory over Canada in the Round of 16 and has been unable to recover in time for the crucial knockout fixture.
Speaking to reporters ahead of Thursday's showdown, Ouahbi revealed that the Bayern Munich midfielder is the only player unavailable for selection.
“Everyone is 100 percent fit except Saibari. This game comes too soon for him, but I hope he is not out for the rest of the competition,” Ouahbi said.
