Moroccan supporters disrupt the French team’s night’s rest on the eve of the quarter-final between Morocco and France
Fireworks were set off and drums were played near the French team’s hotel in Boston.
The French players did not have a peaceful night just hours before kick-off in their quarter-final against Morocco at the World Cup currently being held in the United States, Canada and Mexico. According to reports from RMC Sport, Moroccan supporters gathered near the French team’s hotel, creating a noisy atmosphere.
Fireworks were set off on several occasions, notably from a pick-up truck, in the streets neighbouring the hotel where the French squad are staying. Car horns blared continuously and drums beat at the foot of the building, creating a cacophony of noise, the media outlet reports.
Morocco and France face each other this Thursday from 8 pm GMT in the quarter-finals of the 2026 World Cup.
