Mohamed Ouahbi is aiming for top spot in Group C at the 2026 World Cup
Morocco are aiming to finish above Brazil
The Atlas Lions’ manager has set out his team’s ambitions ahead of their final group stage match against Haiti.
Morocco are guaranteed a place in the round of 32 at the current World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico. But the Atlas Lions refuse to settle for mere qualification. They are aiming for top spot in Group C. Facing Haiti on Wednesday 24 June, the Moroccan team are determined to secure victory to overtake Brazil and achieve their goal. For Mohamed Ouahbi, this ambition offers a double advantage.
“I want to top the group, beat Haiti and move ahead of Brazil. Finishing top would allow us to minimise travel and return to New Jersey. That’s an advantage.”
