Mamelodi Sundowns' Thapelo Maseko may leave the defending Betway Premiership side for Cypriot side AEL Limassol on loan
Thapelo Maseko may soon find himself out of his Mamelodi Sundowns misery.
The former SuperSport United midfielder has endured a torrid time on the Sundowns bench and at times in the stands.
There was a time he posted his frustration on Social Media saying no matter how hard he tries to win the coach’s heart, he continues to be ignored.
Maseko arrived at Chloorkop on a high from now defunct SuperSport United and expectation was that he will set the scene alight at Sundowns but it was not to be as he struggled for game time.
Now he is rumoured to be on his way to Cypriot side AEL Limassol.
It’s not the first time the player’s signature is sought in Cyprus as at the start of the current campaign Cyprus giants Aris Limassol wanted him but that moved collapsed.
Should this move succeed this time, Maseko will join Luther Singh and Mihlali Mayambela in the Cypriot League.
