Mamelodi Sundowns defender Grant Kekana on their clash against former coach Rulani Mokwena: There will no friendship during the 90 minutes
Grant Kekana says for the entire 90 minutes tomorrow against MC Alger, Rulani Mokwena will be like an enemy to him.
Kekana revealed this ahead of Mamelodi Sundowns’ Caf Champions League against the Algerians tomorrow.
Mokwena, a former Sundowns coach, is now in charge of the North African side and they are on the verge of stopping the South African side’s hopes of earning a place in the knockout stage of this competition.
Kekana’s said that they are familiar with Mokwena will be left out of the during the game.
"No, there will be no emotions; I think we’re grown men. Obviously, we appreciate all that he has done for us and for the club, and he always has a special place in our hearts, but we know what’s at stake on Saturday," said Kekana.
"Throughout the 90 minutes, there’ll be none of that (emotions). It will be Mamelodi Sundowns trying to get a positive result, and then we can shake hands after the game."
Sundowns are third in their group and nothing less than a win is needed for them to earn a place in the knockout stage.
The match starts at 3pm at Loftus Verseld.
