The legendary British tennis player Andy Murray has stated that he is willing to risk his health to play one more Wimbledon. Just a week after undergoing back surgery to remove a cyst, he trained for about an hour on Saturday and is still hopeful, though not entirely sure, that he can participate in the tournament.

The fact that he was able to train at all is encouraging, but the next 48 hours will be crucial. If the 37-year-old cannot play in the singles, he might still be ready to compete in the doubles with his brother Jamie Murray for the first time in his career, as the organizers have granted them a wild card.

This was supposed to be Murray's last Wimbledon, five years after his return to the Tour against the doctors' advice following the insertion of a metal hip in 2019. That operation saved his career. Since then, he has made incredible efforts to remain competitive, but it has been challenging to rise in the rankings as he had hoped. His plan is to retire after the Olympics in Paris, but everything depends on his health.
