Koller Reflects on Al Ahly’s Penalty Shootout Defeat to Pachuca

The head coach of Al Ahly, Marcel Koller, voiced his regret after his team lost to Pachuca of Mexico in the FIFA Intercontinental Cup semifinal.

Koller noted in an interview with Al Ahly's official website that his team had a penalty shootout because they had produced a lot of chances during the game but had trouble converting them. Additionally, he underlined that the players did not rejoice too soon during the shootout and that concentration was crucial in deciding the outcome.

Al Ahly fell 6-5 in the penalty shootout following a goalless draw in both regular and extra time. Their Intercontinental hopes came to a cruel end with the loss, and Koller and the players have a much to think about as they focus on the rest of the season.
