Kobamelo Kodisang on his way back to Betway Premiership defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns after an unsuccessful loan spell in Portugal
Kobamelo Kodisang will not finish the season long loan agreement from Mamelodi Sundowns to AVS Futebol SAD in Portugal.
Kodisang’s agent Mike Makaab revealed that Kodisang is on his way back to Chloorkop following the developments in Europe.
“The likelihood is that his loan will be shortened and he will be back in SA,” said Makaab on Gagasi FM.
“We sent him to AVS and a project was supposedly going to go on a newly-promoted team and there was a lot of enthusiasm around them building a strong structure.
Kodisang played five games for AVS Futebol netting once this season and it looks like Makaab is shocked at the latest on the 26-year-old.
“KK was one of the players, you must understand, he did incredibly well at Moreirense two-and-a-half seasons ago, where he played 31 of 34 games.
“And don’t forget Moreirense were in the top-flight in Portugal and they finished the in top six. There was always that possibility of him going back to Portugal on loan because of his credentials in Portugal.
“Unfortunately that particular football team had a horrible start this season, fired the coach and I think even the second one has been fired.”
The player is most likely to finish his season in the Betway Premiership though Makaab said the termination terms of the loan deal are still being negotiated.
