Kaizer Chiefs on returning duo of Aidan McCarthy and Sibongiseni Mthethwa back from suspension: Their availability adds depth to the team
Sibongiseni Mthethwa and Aiden McCarthy have been declared available for selection at Kaizer Chiefs after they missed Sunday’s game against Durban City.
The pair missed the 1-0 win against City at FNB Stadium due to suspension and are expected to play a key role when Amakhosi face bottom side Magesi FC at Moses Mabhida Stadium this Saturday.
From the look of things, Amakhosi will be at full strength on Saturday evening as they aim to consolidate their push for a third place finish as they are out of the title race.
“Chiefs will be boosted by the return of Sibongiseni Mthethwa and Aden McCarthy, both of whom missed Sunday’s match due to suspension,” the club said on its website.
“Their availability adds depth to a squad already strengthened by recent recoveries from injury.”
The return of the two players will also provide much depth in both defence and midfield as their absence made the club thinner in those positions.
But Magesi FC will not be pushovers as the team from Seshego is desperate for points given that they are at the bottom of the table.
The match is scheduled for 6pm.
