Kaizer Chiefs defender Zitha Kwinika on their season so far: We are still much on track despite the recent results not going our way in the league
Zitha Kwinika reveals Kaizer Chiefs’ game against Durban City will provide them with the platform to return to their winning formula in the Betway Premiership.
Kwinika said the results have not been favourable one for Amakhosi even though they are not panicking as yet given that they are still within reach of their objectives for the season.
“Obviously the results didn’t go the way we wanted or expected. So, it is one of those things that is a setback for us, but it is an opportunity for us to learn in the game of football because when you learn, you get better. We are now looking ahead to the Durban City game, which gives us an opportunity to get the points and head forward to where we want to be according to the plan," said Kwinika.
The former Bidvest Wits and Stellenbosch FC defender said they are targeting their remaining 12 games for maximum points which may turn their season around.
“I think it is a realistic target for us with 12 games to play. Us getting maximum points in a lot of games is an opportunity to get back where we want to be, which is meeting our target we set for the season. So, it is realistic. The focus is on taking each game at a time and getting maximum points. Where we are is still within our target," he said.
