Kaizer Chiefs' Brandon Peterson misses the Soweto derby against Orlando Pirates due to surgery and Mduduzi Shabalala misses due to ill-discipline
Brandon Peterson’s unavailability for Kaizer Chiefs this afternoon in the Soweto derby was met with disdain.
This is because Bruce Bvuma has not played a game this season but started against Orlando Pirates at FNB Stadium.
Peterson has done well in goals for Amakhosi and it was expected that he will start but he did not.
Coach Cedric Kaze disclosed the former Bidvest Wits goalminder is unwell.
“Brandon has been sick, he has been admitted at a hospital, he had surgery two days ago. We wish him a speedy recovery,” said Kaze on SuperSport TV.
Bvuma let in three goals as Tshepang Moremi, Oswin Appollis and Evidence Makgopa scored the goals for Pirates in an emphatic victory at the 2010 World Cup venue.
Meanwhile, youngster Mduduzi Shabalala was also not available for this match and it is rumoured that the player was absent due to disciplinary issues.
