Just 149 seconds! Chelsea set a historic Premier League record
Chelsea achieved a unique feat in their sixth-round Premier League match against Bournemouth. For the first time in their history, the Londoners managed to take a 2-0 lead just 2 minutes and 29 seconds after the opening whistle.
The start of the match was astonishing for the visitors. Jordan Henderson opened the scoring in the second minute, taking advantage of the opportunity to put the hosts ahead. Almost immediately, the midfielder was back in the spotlight: in the third minute, he provided an assist for Morgan Rogers, who doubled the Blues' advantage.
Henderson therefore scored and assisted within just a few moments, emerging as the star of an incredible opening spell. Chelsea needed less than three minutes to build a comfortable lead and rewrite their own Premier League history.
