The men's 4x100m relay qualification at the 2024 Olympics delivered an unexpected result.

The Jamaican team failed to qualify for the final, finishing in fourth place with a time of 38.45 seconds, which was not sufficient. This marks the first time in 20 years that Jamaica will miss the final relay.

The eight teams that advanced to the final are Italy, Japan, Great Britain, the USA, France, South Africa, China, and Canada.

In the 2024 Olympic Games, the long jump qualification also featured surprising outcomes. Additionally, there was a sensation in the final of the gymnastics balance beam competition.

By the way, on Monday, August 5th, the world-ranked leader in pole-vaulting also failed to qualify for the Olympics.
