Ghana forward Antoine Semenyo has admitted the Black Stars were left frustrated after their penalty appeal was waved away during the goalless draw against England at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Speaking ahead of Ghana's final Group L fixture, Semenyo revealed that the controversial incident was discussed during training, with the players reflecting on how they could have handled the situation differently.

“The penalty incident against England? We talked about it in training today. As players we had to gang around the referee and ask for it. It's quite frustrating.”
