"I Only Know How to Play for a Win" – Carlos Queiroz Sends Strong Message Ahead of Ghana vs Croatia

Ghana head coach Carlos Queiroz has made it clear that the Black Stars will play for victory when they face Croatia in their decisive final Group L match at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The Black Stars head into the encounter in a strong position after collecting four points from their opening two matches, including a win over Panama and a goalless draw against England. A draw would be enough to send Ghana into the Round of 32.

Despite that advantage, Queiroz insists his team will not adopt a defensive approach.

“A lot of talk about attack and defence, but I only know how to play for a win and that’s what we will do against Croatia.”
