Liverpool, after Xavi Simons was sent off, finally managed to unlock Vicario's goal. Right after the break, Alexander Isak came on and opened the scoring in the 57th minute.
The striker's third goal in a Liverpool shirt was overshadowed by an injury that, at first glance, appears quite serious. The Swede latched onto a pass from Wirtz and fired accurately at goal, but Van de Ven, sliding in to block the shot, caught Isak's leg instead.
