The clash between Tottenham and Liverpool delivered plenty of drama. Fans witnessed three goals, saw Isak leave the pitch injured, and watched as the London side were reduced to nine men after two red cards.
The Spurs were down to ten men from the middle of the first half and conceded twice early in the second. But Richarlison reignited the suspense in the 83rd minute. Deep into stoppage time, even defender Cristian Romero surged forward in attack. In a tussle with Konaté, Romero hit the deck, and the referee whistled for a foul against the Liverpool player.
The Tottenham captain lashed out aggressively at his opponent, kicking the Frenchman in the chest as he got up. The referee showed him a second yellow card, sending him off early.
