Deep into stoppage time, even defender Cristian Romero surged forward in attack. In a tussle with Konaté, Romero hit the deck, and the referee whistled for a foul against the Liverpool player.

The Tottenham captain lashed out aggressively at his opponent, kicking the Frenchman in the chest as he got up. The referee showed him a second yellow card, sending him off early.
