Issa Soumare ends Lille’s run of clean sheets in Ligue 1
Lille had not conceded a goal in four matches
The Senegalese-Mauritanian striker broke through LOSC’s defence on matchday 32.
Lille had gone four matches without conceding a single goal. A run that had established the club as one of the most impenetrable defences in the French league.
However, that run came to an end on Sunday 3 May 2026. Lille, hosting Le Havre AC on matchday 32 of the league, conceded a goal. Issa Soumare scored the equaliser in the 33rd minute after Lille had opened the scoring in the 29th minute.
With this goal, Soumare not only helped his team secure a draw, but also ended the run of matches without conceding a single goal.
