Clashes between supporters and security staff
Played on Sunday in Pretoria, South Africa, the first leg of the CAF Champions League final was marred by events that do not do justice to African football. Whilst Mamelodi Sundowns hosted AS FAR, supporters of the Moroccan club and security staff clashed in the stands.
Tempers flared in the stands and officers from the South African Police Service intervened. However, AS FAR supporters reportedly put up resistance.
