Grant Kekena on Mamelodi Sundowns heavy schedule: This is the life of being a Sundowns member, be it technical or as a player even though it's hard

Grant Kekana has also weighed in the fixture congestion cry his coach – Miguel Cardoso – has been vociferous about recently.

But the difference is that the Mamelodi Sundowns defender, unlike his coach, admitted such is life of being a Sundowns player as this is something, according to him, he is accustomed since arriving at the club.

The Sundowns coach has been crying out falling short of saying the PSL’s scheduling of matches is on purpose so they fail in their Caf champions League pursuit.

Yet this is something that Sundowns have been doing since their Caf Champions League triumph in 2016.

"Since I've arrived at Sundowns, it's pretty much been the same. So, for us who have been here for quite some time, we've sort of gotten used to it, even though it’s still taxing to the body," said Kekana as they prepare for the Caf Champions League clash tonight.

"But we're also privileged to have people in the club that help us with the recovery methods, and also the way the coach tends to rest certain players during training sessions.

"So we're trying to balance it out on our side, and I think the cry is just for the country to be in support of us in our path – that's all we're asking for."

The game against Stade Malien starts at 8pm at Loftus Versveld.
