According to Flick, Girona fully earned their win, despite a few controversial moments involving the referee:
"I think Girona DESERVED this victory. We played very poorly, very, very poorly!
We were bad, especially in defense and during transitions.
We made far too many mistakes. Our positioning in midfield was terrible. We left too many gaps and didn't press. We played too openly and conceded too much." - Flick stated.
At the moment, Barcelona sits second in La Liga with 58 points. The Blaugrana trail their main rivals, Real Madrid, by two points in the battle for the top spot.
Flick's side will play their next match away against Levante on February 22.
