Gavin Hunt on Stellenbosch FC's Caf Confederation Cup match in Algeria: We expect a very tough game away from home as we are a team in transition

Thabo Moloisane revealed Stellenbosch FC’s aim in Algeria this evening is ensuring they keep their top of the table position intact.

Moloisane and his Stellies team-mates are in North Africa for their Caf Confederation Cup clash against CR Belouizdad.

They are on top of their group with four points without a loss.

“We are playing away from home, but it’s important that we maintain our first position on the log. We came here to get three points. We’re not here to play it safe or anything like that,” the Cape Winelands defender told his club website.

Stellies should be high in confidence entering the Nelson Mandela Stadium in Algeria having won their midweek Betway Premiership match against Sekhukhune United.

They will be hoping to repeat that when they face Sead Ramovic’s – former TS Galaxy coach – men.

Hunt said they are expecting a tough game this evening.

“We’ve obviously had a look at them, and they would’ve had a look at us, so we’re expecting a tough game away from home, but we want to maintain our position,” he said.

The game starts at 9pm.
