Franck Kessié, Nicolas Pépé, Hervé Renard’s squad is now complete in Abidjan

The Elephants will now head to Bouaké, where they will host the Black Stars on the opening day of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Following the first arrivals on 20 September, the remaining Ivorian internationals have gradually joined the Elephants’ training camp in Abidjan for this international break. Franck Kessié, Nicolas Pépé, Yan Diomandé and Evan Ndicka are all present in the Ivorian capital.

However, Hervé Renard and his squad will travel to Bouaké on Tuesday 22 September. It is in the centre of Côte d’Ivoire that the national team will prepare before kicking off their qualifying campaign. Côte d’Ivoire will host Ghana on 24 September at the Stade de la Paix in Bouaké, in the opening match of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

An initial training session took place on Monday 21 September with the first group of players present in Abidjan.
