Paulo Fonseca has only recently become Milan's head coach, but the Portuguese has already made his first transfer in this position.

The Rossoneri press service reported that the club bought the contract of 19-year-old defender Alex Jimenez from Real Madrid. With "rossoneri" he signed a contract until 30 June 2028 with an option to extend for another year.

Last season he spent on loan in Milan, however, mostly not in the main team, but in the Primavera. But he played five matches for Stefano Pioli's main team last season: three in Serie A and two in the Italian Cup.

For Primavera, Jimenez played in 19 matches, in which he did not score a goal, but gave two assists. Transfermarkt estimates the contract of the 19-year-old Spanish defender at four million euros.
