Flavio Silva and Glody Lilepo guide Kaizer Chiefs to a 2-0 win over TS Galaxy to cement their push for third place on the Betway Premiership standings

Flavio Silva and Glody Lilepo goals ensured Kaizer Chiefs not only collect maximum points against TS Galaxy but also earn their fourth win on the trot.

The duo scored in each half as Galaxy were not able to respond to Amakhosi’s dominance at FNB Stadium which sees Chiefs cement the third spot on the Betway Premiership match standings.

Galaxy have been lethargic of late even though they made it to the Nedbank Cup final and the loss to Chiefs was rather inevitable.

Between the two sides, Chiefs came into this game as the on form team and they did not disappoint the paltry crowd which came to watch the encounter at the 2010 World Cup venue.

Chiefs restored goalkeeper Brandon Peterson in goals in place of Brice Bvuma and the captain goalminder kept a clean sheet on the day.

Meanwhile, Galaxy came to the game without Lentswe Motaung, Junior Zindonga and Mlungisi Mbunjana, who have influential in their games this season.

This game was not without a bit of drama as it was stopped for a moment due to floodlight failure and inclement weather in Nasrec.

But that did not stop the home side from marching forward to maximum points and push for third place.
