Five years of silence. Haaland finally responds to Spider-Man
Haaland had to move quickly to save his reputation in front of Spider-Man.
Details: In a recently published video, Manchester City striker Erling Haaland read out a message that Tom Holland sent him on May 23, 2021. The actor said he'd spotted the Norwegian in Monaco, suggested they meet for a drink, and added: Please join Tottenham.
Haaland admitted that he initially responded to the story with a joke: he called Holland "that Spider-Man guy" and mentioned that he doesn't watch superhero movies. However, his words spread without context and, in his view, sounded far too harsh.
That's why the Norwegian decided to write to the actor personally and clarify the situation:
“There was a story going around that I was ignoring you. I just want to make sure you understand: that was never my intention”.
Still, the forward didn't commit to the Tottenham request, keeping the intrigue alive for now:
“Not too sure about Tottenham at the moment, but who knows”.
Previously, Tom Holland talked about his unanswered message on The Tonight Show, calling the experience both humbling and eye-opening for the actor.
Reminder: Viking row. Haaland puts on a show at Donnarumma's wedding.
